Global Competency, Certificate of Achievement
Global competency is an essential skill in the 21st century. This certificate has been organized based on the 4 pillars of global competency, established by the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development, which include: understanding the relationship of the local and global, appreciating the world views of others, preparing for interaction across cultural divides, and taking action with global well-being in mind.
Upon successful completion of the program, students will be able to:
- Craft arguments that illustrate the connection of local institutions and communities to global political and economic developments.
- Distinguish contemporary realities of globalization from stereotypes and misrepresentations about global processes.
