Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, Anti-Racism, and Accessibility (IDEAA), Certificate of Training

The Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, Anti-Racism, and Accessibility (IDEAA) Certificate of Achievement uses an intersectional approach, allowing individuals to gain expertise in comparative ethnicity and gender studies with the specifics on access to equity and inclusivity. It enables them to demonstrate their understanding of differences based on age, race, gender, and sexual orientation and their knowledge of social change movements. It enables them to analyze ethnic and gender studies, building a foundation for civic engagement.

Upon successful completion of the program, students will be able to:

  • Examine and address race, gender, class, ethnicity, and sexual orientation critically in the context of social and historical events.
  • Apply an intersectional and multidisciplinary analysis to gender and ethnic studies.\n
  • Compare and contrast the cultural experiences of diverse racial, gender, ethnic, or sexual orientations in order to understand how distinct lived experiences affect and influence human behavior.
